MEGGHUN REDMON

MSW, LCSW

Megghun started at Suicide Prevention Services in 2011 as a BSW intern from Aurora University. She continued her career at SPS as the Administrative Assistant, and, when she received her MSW from AU, she became the Coordinator of Services. She has since transitioned to her current position as Director of Operations.

During her master’s year of college, Megghun interned with Mutual Ground and received the 60-hour Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault Certification. Her work experience has always been people-oriented, having worked in the medical field before attending college.​ Megghun enjoys working with all ages and specializes in working with adolescents and children. She has a special interest in working with individuals living with special needs.

Megghun leads the school-based therapy groups, as well as the Survivors of Suicide Youth Group. She co-facilitates the Survivors of Suicide Attempts group.

Megghun has received some training in play therapy and utilizes these skills with her clients; eventually, her goal is to become certified in Play Therapy. Megghun specializes in working with clients who are experiencing symptoms of depression, anxiety, and self-injury. She has worked with adolescents and children who have had a loved one die by suicide.

Megghun enjoys knitting and spending time at home with her baby, fiancee, stepdaughter, and three cats in her free time.
