Jennifer Orta

Jennifer Orta, MS, LPC, is a bilingual (English/Spanish) therapist dedicated to supporting children and their families through culturally affirming care in both the clinical and school setting. Jennifer received her Bachelors of Psychology and Spanish for the Health Professions in 2019 from Marquette University. She also received her Master of Clinical Mental Health Counseling specializing in children and adolescents in 2021. Jennifer began her career in Milwaukee, before returning home to Aurora in 2023. Jennifer joined the agency in July of 2025 as a bilingual mental health therapist and community educator.

 As a first-generation Latina clinician, Jennifer brings deep cultural understanding, warmth, and connection to her work, creating a safe space where kids feel seen, understood, and empowered. Jennifer specializes in working with children experiencing anxiety, behavioral challenges, emotional regulation difficulties, school stress, and family transitions. Jennifer is also involved in the community to provide resources and services to the Latino community during these times of uncertainty.   Jennifer is in the process of obtaining her LCPC and begin working to become a certified play therapist. She uses evidence-based approaches—including CBT, mindfulness, and strengths-based interventions—to help children express themselves, build coping skills, and thrive., Jennifer partners closely with parents, caregivers and school staff, offering guidance and tools to support growth at home and school. Her goal is to honor each child’s unique story while fostering resilience, confidence, and emotional well-being.

Outside of her clinical work, Jennifer enjoys crafting, going on walks, reading, and spending time with her family and friends. Jennifer is also a mom to a loving and energetic 3-year-old boy, Ezekiel. Jennifer enjoys going to concerts; however, only ask her about the Jonas brothers if you have a minimum of 1 hour to discuss her favorite show and see pictures.
